Father Malusi was born on the 20 April 1992 in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa Zulu Natal but moved to Durban with his family before he was two.  He grew up Kwa Mashu and his early years were spent at Barracuda Primary School, Newlands East.  He attended Sparks Estate Secondary School from where he matriculated in 2009 and proceeded directly to the Seminary, having attended a vocational workshop for the last three years of high school.

Father Malusi was ordained Deacon by the late Archbishop Abel Gabuza on 20 July 2019 at Saint Leo Catholic Parish eMolweni and a Priest on the 22 February 2020 at the Emmanuel Cathedral by Cardinal Napier.  His first and rather short assignment was in Greytown and then he came directly to us at Saint Joseph’s.

Father Malusi’s family comprises of his Mother and two siblings, both younger than him and both boys.  Sadly, his Father died just two months after he entered the seminary.
